As a die hard Hagar fan, it was a MUST that I get to atleast ONE Chickenfoot show on the tour last year. And yes, no such luck of them playing my hometown so a road trip was in order. Upon knowing that one of the songs in the set was 'Bitten By the Wolf' and being from New Orleans, it was important that I bring a little NOLA love to Hotlanta for the show. Luckily, I managed to have a great spot dead center in the second row. I brought with me a New Orleans Saints hat and while I was trying to find an opportune moment to throw it up on stage when the song started, Mr. Chad Smith happened to see my hat and gave me a nice kudos nod and smile. I did manage to throw it up on stage, Sammy wore it for a few moments during the song and I was a happy, happy girl. For those of you who saw CF live know that Chad plays a tambourine during the song, so, this is where the story gets REAL good...At the end of the song, Chad Smith walked up to the front of the stage and handed me his tambourine, literally, just like that! The girl in front of me thought he was handing it to her but Chad pushed her hand out the way with the tambourine and put it in my hands. What a moment I tell you! The picture attached is me with the tambourine! What a night, what a show and yes indeed my BUZZ IS ON for CHICKENFOOT!!
